At Alpha, this isn't up for discussion—it's the foundation of daily practice. Students advance through academics via self-paced software, not through traditional instructor-led lessons. This structure allows you to focus on what truly transforms outcomes: facilitating dynamic workshops on public speaking, attention management, and feedback literacy. You'll use live analytics to motivate students toward full goal attainment. You'll develop the Guides who collaborate with you. Your primary resources are performance data, a battle-tested methodology, and the executive presence that commands attention from middle schoolers.

You will take ownership of a student cohort and be measured on three deliverables: students are engaged and enthusiastic about school, they progress at double the rate of conventional classrooms, and they cultivate practical competencies. From the outset, you will coach fellow Guides. As you consistently produce results, your authority over campus-wide program standards will expand.

What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating hour-long interactive workshops focused on life competencies (public speaking, attention management, feedback exchange) for students in grades K-8, adhering to Alpha's established methodology
• Conducting motivational sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's reward structures (campus currency, performance leaderboards) to secure 100% goal achievement across your cohort
• Developing Guides through focused coaching on program adherence and standards maintenance, ensuring every coaching interaction yields concrete action steps
• Managing your designated student cohort while simultaneously cultivating the capabilities of other Guides
• Monitoring student engagement metrics, goal attainment percentages, and Guide effectiveness indicators

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Providing direct academic instruction or subject tutoring to students. Academic content is delivered through digital platforms.
• Creating original curriculum or instructional materials. Alpha's established playbook serves as your implementation framework, allowing you to concentrate on delivery and rapport.
• Accepting 99% completion when the standard is 100%. Maintaining this boundary demonstrates your confidence in their capacity to reach full mastery.
• Training Guides on instructional pedagogy. Since Guides don't deliver academic lessons, your coaching centers on presence, motivation, and accountability systems.

Coach Key Responsibilities Execute Alpha's 3 Promises for every student in your grade level: they are enthusiastic about attending school, they advance academically at twice the velocity of traditional classrooms, and they develop essential life competencies.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development (L&D), coaching, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience designing and executing educational programs, training initiatives, or curricula
• Proven track record building and leading teams, including conducting hiring processes and making performance-driven termination decisions
• Direct experience working with children ages 5-14 in educational or developmental contexts
• Proficiency using data analysis and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement
• Available to work on-site at an Alpha campus located in Atlanta, GA or Keller (Fort Worth), TX
• Authorized to work legally in the United States

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
• Experience in athletic coaching, residential camp leadership, or youth development programs with quantifiable outcomes and enforced performance standards
• Track record successfully motivating large student groups

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
