Role Overview
As the Senior UX Manager for Myntra’s Internal Tools, you will lead a team of designers dedicated to the "backbone" of our fashion marketplace. You will oversee the UX strategy for the
Seller Portal
and the suite of
Internal Operations Tools
(Logistics, Cataloging, Warehouse Management, and Finance).
Your mission is to move Myntra from "functional tools" to a "high-performance workstation" environment. You will balance business goals (reducing operational costs) with user needs (reducing cognitive load for sellers and staff).
Key Responsibilities
- Vision & Strategy: Define the 1-2 year UX roadmap for the seller and internal ecosystem. Transition the team from reactive feature-building to proactive, journey-based design.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, hire, and mentor a team of 4–8 UX/UI designers. Conduct design reviews that elevate the bar for usability and aesthetic functionalism.
- Cross-Functional Evangelism: Act as the bridge between Engineering, Product Management, and Operations. Influence senior stakeholders to prioritize "UX debt" alongside new features.
- Unified Design Language: Oversee the creation and adoption of a specialized Enterprise Design System that works for high-density data and specialized hardware (e.g., handheld scanners).
- Operational Excellence: Implement design processes (sprints, critiques, and user research cycles) that allow the team to ship high-quality work at Myntra’s pace.
- Service Design Oversight: Ensure designers aren't just looking at screens, but understanding the physical flow of goods and the human pain points at every touchpoint.
Required Leadership Keywords
- Design Ops: Scaling design teams, workflow optimization, and toolchain management.
- Stakeholder Management: Navigating conflicting requirements from Finance, Logistics, and Category Management.
- Systems Thinking: Ability to see how a change in the "Cataloging Tool" affects the "Seller Dashboard" and "Customer App."
- Outcome-Driven UX: Moving beyond "beautiful UI" to measuring Efficiency Metrics (Task Success Rate, Time-on-Task, Support Ticket Reduction).
- Change Management: Experience leading teams through digital transformation or platform migrations.
Qualifications
- 6–9 years of experience in UX/Product Design, with at least 3+ years in a formal people-management role.
- Proven track record in B2B, Enterprise SaaS, or Supply Chain design.
- Expertise in Information Architecture and navigating highly technical constraints.
- Ability to articulate the "ROI of UX" to non-design executives in business terms.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with distributed engineering teams.
