Principal Accountabilities
Scan and Assign Product: Use scanners and the Dematic system to locate, identify, and assign boxes/pallets to the correct orders while maintaining accuracy and documentation
Order Preparation & Verification: Retrieve products from storage (MSS/UL), verify pick tickets, and ensure all product matches order specifications before loading
Trailer Loading Support: Assist with loading/unloading boxes or pallets, working with forklift operators to ensure proper placement, row counts, labeling, and trailer organization
Safety & Dock Procedures: Follow all dock safety steps including chock blocks, glad locks, trailer stands, dock locks, and proper light indicators before entering or loading a trailer
Equipment Operation: Operate or support operation of forklifts and/or electric pallet jacks, completing daily equipment safety checks and reporting any defects immediately
Area & Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work area, sweep shipping zones, and follow proper battery-changing procedures including PPE requirements
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to safely lift, move, and stack boxes and materials in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols
Willingness and physical ability to work in cold, wet, or fluctuating temperature environments as required
Ability to complete all mandatory training, including equipment operation, safety, dock procedures, and Lockout/Tagout where applicable
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in shipping, warehousing, or production environments
Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems (e.g., Dematic)
Prior forklift or electric pallet jack operation experience
Strong attention to detail for accurate scanning, labeling, and order verification
