The Difference You Will Make As the most senior marketer in India, the Senior Marketing Lead is responsible for developing strategic plans and executing, implementing, and tracking marketing programs to drive profitable growth for one of Airbnb’s most exciting markets. With strategic, creative, and operational effectiveness, this person will define business challenges and strategies to drive growth, nurture a small but high-performing marketing team, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver actionable, locally relevant, growth-oriented marketing plans that realize Airbnb’s business and brand ambitions. By acting as the expert on the Indian target audience and cultural landscape, they will educate teams globally on local nuances, challenges, and opportunities—ensuring Airbnb’s brand remains relevant and impactful in India.

A Typical Day

• Partnering with the cross-functional India leadership team to develop the integrated go-to-market plan and roadmap for India.
• Owning the strategy and delivery of the India brand marketing plan, including setting goals and a measurement framework to demonstrate incremental impact.
• Collaborating with internal creative, media, and production teams, and working with world-class agency partners to execute the India brand marketing plan.
• Supporting the APAC Marketing Director in identifying and rolling out APAC-wide marketing initiatives and programs.
• Acting as the expert on the Indian target audience and the cultural and competitive landscape, educating global teams on local nuances, challenges, and opportunities.

Your Expertise

• 12+ years in a marketing role, preferably with experience at a fast-paced startup or technology company.
• Experience working in a senior marketing capacity in India.
• Creative and analytical thinker with a proven ability to champion world-class creative marketing programs that deliver results.
• Integrated marketing mindset, with experience in amplifying campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
• Strong business acumen and an understanding of key business and consumer levers that unlock growth.
• Experience managing agencies and large, multinational teams internally.
• A record of success in leading teams, measuring ROI, and being accountable for results.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills; able to articulate a vision, strategy, and ideas clearly and succinctly.
• The ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• An appreciation for design and a passion for Airbnb.

How We'll Take Care Of You Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is inclusive of allowances and is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentives, one or more equity programs, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
