Senior Sales Manager

We’re looking for a Senior Sales Manager to play a pivotal role in accelerating growth across our Financial Services portfolio. This is a high‑impact, client‑facing role for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building trusted relationships, unlocking new opportunities and expanding existing accounts within regulated environments.

Focused on both new and existing clients, you’ll draw on Sopra Steria’s market‑leading capabilities particularly our Ethical Debt Management solution, to drive partner‑led growth, develop compelling propositions and deliver profitable outcomes. As a visible figurehead for the business, you’ll represent us confidently in the market and at industry events, bringing credibility, gravitas and deep collections subject‑matter expertise.

This role is hybrid, with regular travel to client sites anticipated.

What you'll be doing:

• Identify, shape and qualify new business opportunities across your agreed industry sectors, driving sustainable and profitable growth.
• Develop and own strategic, growth‑focused account plans for designated clients, with clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Manage and drive a robust sales pipeline, working closely with sales leads and internal stakeholders to convert opportunities.
• Build, manage and grow strong client relationships, reporting on performance and identifying opportunities for on‑account expansion.
• Lead the development of new client‑led propositions, offers and concepts in response to evolving customer requirements.
• Represent the business externally through client entertainment, industry networking and events, while ensuring full governance and effective partner relationships across all sales opportunities.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in business development and senior client management roles, with a strong track record of delivering sales growth.
• Deep knowledge of the UK Debt Collection market, supported by a well‑established and active industry network.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and grow strategic client relationships, applying best‑practice account management principles.
• Strong commercial and communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and articulating complex solutions clearly.
• Commercially astute with strong business acumen, analytical capability, and experience in financial modelling and planning.

Salary: Up to £100k per annum, depending on experience
