Commodities are looking to hire a Senior Director, focused on developing metals structured solutions and originating trade opportunities, working closely with client coverage teams (sales, banking). The aim of the role is to build on Citi’s extensive capabilities in the metals and bulks, both in financial derivatives and physical, to expand the business into new areas that Citi may not have systematically pursued in the past. An example of key focus area is the development of physical non-debt financing solutions.
The role is a technical but also fundamentally commercial, revenue-generating one. It is focused on developing new capabilities in a scalable way, tapping into exciting new growth areas, and delivering significant revenues. The role involves understanding complex structures and client issues, e.g. funding, tax, accounting, capital treatment, derivatives, in order to develop tailored structured solutions and work through trade execution with sales, bankers and structuring teams.
