Operations Specialist, Used Cars

What To Expect Role based at CPO location (Manchester, Longbridge, Wolverhampton, Reading, Southampton) or London HQ.

As the Operations Specialist Used Cars, you will be part of Used Car Operations team & work cross-functionally with Sales, Service & Delivery teams to plan, coordinate, and track vehicle pre-intake operations. The ideal candidate should possess a strong cando attitude, ability to work on multiple business segments simultaneously and be motivated to innovate and strive for daily marginal gains. This role directly supports Tesla’s focus on the rapid growth of Certified Pre-Owned Program & broader used car operations. In this role, you will be liaising with teams at Certified Pre-Owned sites, delivery hubs service teams as well as be customer-facing to private individuals and business accounts in terms of vehicle trade-ins, inventory & TFS vehicle returns. This role will involve incoming vehicle analysis and pipeline management, accurate data processing & reporting. Additional duties will include supporting wider Used Car Operations team in vehicle logistics, readiness & vehicle listing aspects. The successful candidate will need to have exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. They must also be able to work collaboratively with different teams and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This role will play a critical part in the success of Tesla's Used Car Operations.

What You'll Do

• Captive (TFS) lease ends – arranging drop offs, remarketing cost calculations, excess mileage, intake documents.

• Operational flow assurance (with Order Ops EMEA and Finance Ops EMEA + NA)

• Trade-in validation (HPI checks, Lienholder settlements, private plates) for UK & Ireland.

• Outbound customer comms, point of contact for delivery hubs, escalation handling.

• AMP acquisition completion from A to Z.

• Trade in annex completion validation for every single trade-in.

• Point of contact for local service and delivery teams.

• Escalation management with CRES (e.g. undisclosed repairs)

• Wholesale Tesla de-fleet management (service loaners, mobile service, internal cars, etc.)

• Administrative, automotive experience preferred.

• Ability to thrive in a team-based environment and achieve common goals.

• Great problem-solving skills, and strong ability to take initiative and be proactive.

• Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.

• Positivity, enthusiasm, and a passion towards the mission of Tesla.

• Confident in learning and adapting to multiple technologies.

• Able to communicate, read, and write effectively in the English language on all levels.

• Have the required language skills if required by our local markets.

• Working knowledge of legacy/discontinued Tesla vehicle trims is a plus.

• Good knowledge of MS Office.
