Families at Alpha have advisors for every important area of their lives. This is the trusted voice they've been missing.
You'll be the person parents reach out to when they're unsure, when something doesn't feel quite right, or when they want to share a milestone they know you'll appreciate. You'll understand each family deeply enough to sense their needs before they surface—and you'll bring the judgment and composure to address whatever arises with care, warmth, and quiet confidence. Over time, you won't simply be connected to their child's education. You'll become woven into how they navigate this season of family life.
That level of trust isn't engineered through systems. It's earned through presence—steady, daily, unhurried. You'll be there at morning arrivals and afternoon departures, at the evening gatherings that count, and in the private conversations that rarely appear on schedules. You'll cultivate a community that families feel ownership of, where connection feels organic and referrals emerge naturally from the quality of the experience.
Alpha operates outside the traditional school framework. Students complete core academics in two hours daily using AI-powered applications, then dedicate the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical thinking, and hands-on projects. No lectures. No filler assignments. Top 1% outcomes nationally. The families selecting Alpha are investing in something they deeply value—but conviction requires stewardship.
You'll sustain that dialogue with each family, through every question, for the duration of their child's enrollment. If advocating for an unconventional approach to discerning skeptics feels like a weight, this isn't your role. If it feels like the most compelling conversation you could steward, continue reading.
What You Will Be Doing
- Take ownership of the relationship with every enrolled family—the evolving, deepening connection that ensures parents feel understood, not merely attended to
- Identify potential concerns before they surface as issues, and address them with the discretion and interpersonal skill that preserves confidence
- Maintain visible presence in key family moments: morning arrivals (7–9am), afternoon departures (2–4pm), evening parent gatherings, and select weekend programming
- Develop a campus community with authentic depth—traditions, events, and connection points that give families a sense of belonging to something meaningful
- Foster parent champions through experience rather than persuasion, designing interactions so reliably excellent that referrals arise organically
- Sustain the conversation around Alpha's AI-powered approach with families managing screen time questions, skeptical relatives, and periodic uncertainty—not only during onboarding, but continuously throughout enrollment
- Recognize when a family alignment isn't strong and address it with the same care you apply universally—safeguarding the community is integral to supporting it
- Create the infrastructure and cadences this position demands in a setting where precedent is still emerging
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Overseeing enrollment processes—that falls to the Admissions Director; your responsibility starts when families commit and deepens over time
- Operating from an office—your physical presence within the community defines the role
- Adhering to conventional 9–5 schedules—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening obligations are core to the position, not occasional add-ons
- Relying on administrative infrastructure, established protocols, or full staffing—you function with significant autonomy and develop what's needed
- Approaching family relationships as transactional accounts—this role depends on authentic engagement, not procedural execution
Director Of Strategic Partnerships Key Responsibilities
Serve as the central trusted relationship for every family's journey at Alpha. Maintain their confidence during challenging periods, foster a community where belonging feels substantial, and establish the environment in which satisfied families naturally become advocates.
Basic Requirements
- Currently located within commuting range of one of these campuses OR prepared to relocate within 60 days (priority given to candidates with established local ties): Scottsdale, AZ; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Lake Forest, CA; San Francisco, CA; Greenwich, CT; Bethesda, MD; New York City, NY; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; or Kirkland, WA
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
- 5+ years in a client-facing role working with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families—contexts such as private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropic advising, or any setting where discretion, interpersonal warmth, and social acuity were as critical as competence
- Proven capacity to maintain relationships with sophisticated families through challenging situations and preserve trust throughout
- Authentic presence and communication approach that builds confidence rapidly with affluent, high-expectation families—credible without appearing rehearsed
- Direct familiarity with independent, private, or alternative education—either professionally or as a parent—that provides you credible perspective when families question the approach
- Authentic conviction in AI-powered education and the capacity to sustain that belief genuinely across years of family relationships, not just initial enrollment discussions
- Flexibility for non-traditional hours: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening programming 2–3x/month, and occasional weekend commitments
Nice-to-have Requirements
Exceptional candidates will bring at least one of the following:
- Established connections within the local affluent community that would provide immediate, organic credibility on campus
- Private or independent school background with demonstrated success in family retention and community building—beyond enrollment metrics alone
- Track record navigating sensitive family dynamics where your judgment and discretion were the foundation of sustained trust
- Natural ability to design experiences—gatherings, traditions, environments—that make people feel part of something meaningful and protective
- Background in startup or early-stage environments where you built from the ground up and maintained composure amid rapid change
