Alpha families rely on trusted advisors across every dimension of their lives. This is the advisor they haven't had—until now.
You will be the person they reach out to when uncertainty arises, when something doesn't sit right, or when they want to share a milestone with someone who truly gets it. You'll develop an understanding of each family deep enough to sense what they need before they articulate it—and you'll possess the judgment and composure to address whatever they bring with discretion, care, and apparent ease. Over time, you won't simply be affiliated with their child's education. You'll become woven into the way they navigate this phase of their family's journey.
That level of trust isn't generated by a system. It emerges from presence—sustained, reliable, unhurried. You'll be on-site during morning arrival and afternoon departure, at the evening gatherings that count, and in the personal conversations that never appear on a schedule. You'll cultivate a community that families want to protect, where inclusion feels natural and word-of-mouth happens because the experience justifies it.
Alpha operates outside traditional schooling norms. Students complete foundational academics in two hours daily via AI-powered platforms, then dedicate remaining time to public speaking, critical thinking, and applied projects. No lectures. No filler assignments. Top 1% outcomes nationally. The families who select Alpha are investing in something they value—but that conviction requires nurturing.
You'll sustain that dialogue with every family, through every hesitation, for the duration of their child's enrollment. If responding to an unconventional approach before discerning skeptics feels burdensome, this position won't suit you. If it sounds like the most compelling engagement you could pursue, continue below.
What You Will Be Doing
- Take ownership of the relationship with every campus family—the evolving, deepening connection that ensures parents feel recognized, not merely attended to
- Identify concerns before they surface as issues, and address them with the discretion and interpersonal skill that preserves confidence
- Maintain a visible presence where families gather: morning arrival (7–9am), afternoon dismissal (2–4pm), evening parent functions, and select weekend programming
- Develop a campus community with authentic character—gatherings, customs, and interactions that foster a sense of belonging to something families value
- Encourage parent champions naturally, delivering experiences of such consistent quality that recommendations emerge organically
- Sustain the conversation around Alpha's AI-driven approach with families managing screen time questions, skeptical relatives, and periodic uncertainty—not only during enrollment, but throughout their campus tenure
- Recognize when a family's alignment is insufficient and manage that situation with the same care you apply elsewhere—safeguarding the community is integral to serving it
- Establish the infrastructure and cadence this role demands in a setting where the framework is still evolving
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Overseeing admissions—that falls to the Admissions Director; your role starts when families commit and intensifies from that point forward
- Operating from an office—your physical presence within the community defines the position
- Maintaining standard business hours—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening obligations are inherent to the work, not occasional
- Depending on administrative infrastructure, defined procedures, or a complete staff—you function with significant independence and create what's necessary
- Approaching family relationships as portfolios to be administered—this role rewards authentic engagement, not procedural adherence
Director Of Strategic Parent Engagement Key Responsibilities
Serve as the trusted relationship anchoring every family's Alpha experience. Maintain their confidence during challenging periods, foster a community where belonging is meaningful, and establish the environment in which satisfied families become active advocates.
Basic Requirements
- Currently reside within commuting distance of one of these campuses OR willing to relocate within 60 days (preference for candidates with existing community roots): Scottsdale, AZ; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Lake Forest, CA; San Francisco, CA; Greenwich, CT; Bethesda, MD; New York City, NY; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; or Kirkland, WA
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 5+ years in a relationship-focused role serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families—private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropy, or similar settings where discretion, warmth, and social sophistication mattered as much as competence
- Proven capacity to sustain relationships through challenging situations with sophisticated families and exit those moments with trust strengthened
- Authentic presence and communication approach that builds confidence rapidly with affluent, high-expectation families—not polished in a way that appears rehearsed
- Direct familiarity with independent, private, or non-traditional education—through professional work or as a parent—that provides credible perspective when families question the approach
- Sincere conviction in AI-powered education and the capacity to express that commitment authentically across years of parent relationships, not merely during initial enrollment
- Availability for variable scheduling: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening functions 2–3x/month, and occasional weekend activities
Nice-to-have Requirements
Exceptional candidates will have at least one of the following:
- Established connections within the local affluent community that would provide an immediate, organic entry point on campus
- Private school or independent school background with a demonstrated history of family retention and community cultivation—not merely enrollment metrics
- Experience managing high-stakes family dynamics where your judgment and discretion were the foundation of sustained trust
- A talent for designing experiences—occasions, interactions, settings—where individuals feel they're part of something worth defending
- Prior startup or early-stage exposure where you constructed systems from scratch and maintained composure amid rapid change
